More about Me

Coach Mindy Simmons:

I’ve been passionate about fitness since 2004 and coaching others since 2009. I graduated from Park University in 2013 with a B.A. in Fitness & Wellness and Business Management, while also earning my CSCS and USAW certifications along the way. I spent over 6 years interning with Head Strength and Conditioning Coaches at multiple universities, gaining invaluable experience working with athletes at all levels.

For nearly a decade, I’ve been a CrossFit instructor and personal trainer, coaching everything from large group classes to specialized courses like functional bodybuilding, CrossFit gymnastics, weightlifting, and grunt work. With my CrossFit L-2, USAW L-2, LMT, and other certifications, I’ve designed fitness programs that help athletes and fitness enthusiasts achieve their goals through strength training, metabolic conditioning, and functional movement.

I’m also a Christian, and my faith plays a central role in how I approach both fitness and life. I believe that faith and fitness are deeply connected, and I love exploring the parallels between the two. Just as our spiritual journey has its ebbs and flows, so does our fitness journey. Both require community, consistency, and the nourishment of mind, body, and spirit. My approach combines these elements to help you move better, feel stronger, build resilience, and confidence.

Personally, I’m a huge believer in functional fitness. It keeps me strong, energized, and ready to take on new challenges like running a marathon, participating in CrossFit and weightlifting competitions, paddle-boarding, mountain biking, jiu-jitsu, and even helping friends move heavy furniture! Whether you're in the gym, tackling fun challenges, or navigating everyday life I truly believe that through consistent functional training, you can unlock your full potential.

My hope is to help you experience the freedom and joy that comes with embracing your strength in your faith & fitness, so you can live boldly and kick butt no matter what stage of life you’re in.

Let’s work together to build the best version of you—physically, mentally, and spiritually.
